During the feature presentation, the first four companies in the pipeline to conduct their Tokenized IPO will make a live pitch to hundreds of investors and investment brokers in attendance, conducting important market sensitization for this new financial tool.
As the only regulated stock exchange in the world with a Digital Asset Trading Platform, the JSE has attracted issuers from the Caribbean and beyond - firmly establishing Tokenized IPOs as a global fundraising vehicle. The platform, provided by Blockstation, further facilitates international investors by enabling the transfer of funds using Bitcoin and Ether, providing an alternative to the disincentive of high wire transfer fees for the international exchange of fiat currencies.
JSE Commitment to Digital Transformation
Blockstation’s presentation at the 2020 conference was made possible by the JSE’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
Named Bloomberg Businessweek’s top-performing exchange in 2015 and 2018, it has adopted a proactive strategy to take advantage of emerging technology and to partner with organizations around the world to expand its footprint.
Through its partnership with Blockstation, the JSE’s new platform offers end-to-end services for listing, trading, clearing, and settling digital assets, with participation from all of its ecosystem partners as well as investors on a global scale.
The Beginning of A Fully Tokenized Marketplace
Blockstation is proud to play a role in the modernization of regulated financial markets, leveraging the power of tokenization and the blockchain to make publicly traded listings more accessible to issuers and investors alike.
